Spice Islands Industries Scales Beverages Amid Diversification Push

Spice Islands Industries Limited has shifted from a traditional apparel business into a diversified enterprise operating across beverages, electric mobility, logistics, and hospitality. The transformation has attracted investor attention, with the stock delivering returns of more than 2,000% over the past three years according to market data cited in the company profile.

Financial momentum

The company's recent results underscore the payoff of diversification. In the quarter ended March 31, 2026, standalone net profit climbed to ₹3.29 crore, roughly double the ₹1.66 crore reported in the same quarter a year earlier. Revenue from operations rose to ₹13.55 crore in the March 2026 quarter, up from ₹6.08 crore in March 2025.

For the full financial year FY26, revenue reached ₹37.31 crore compared with ₹22.92 crore in FY25, while net profit increased to ₹7.63 crore from ₹2.57 crore in the prior year. Management attributes this growth to success in its diversification strategy and expansion into multiple sectors.

Rogers 1837 revival

The centerpiece of the company's beverage ambitions is Rogers 1837, described as among India's oldest beverage brands. Spice Islands is modernizing packaging, strengthening distribution networks and increasing market visibility for the heritage brand. The Rogers portfolio spans ice cream soda, raspberry soda, jeera soda, ginger ale, club soda, and packaged drinking water.

Management sees the brand's heritage value as a unique positioning advantage in the Indian beverage market. The company aims to scale Rogers across multiple regions by combining traditional brand recognition with modern marketing and distribution.

Mobility and logistics

Spice Islands has positioned itself in electric vehicle rental and mobility-related services, betting on India's EV industry growth supported by government initiatives and rising adoption of sustainable transportation. The company has also expanded into logistics and fleet operations, a sector benefiting from rapid growth in e-commerce, quick commerce and urban delivery services. Management views both verticals as important long-term growth drivers.

Hospitality expansion

The company has established a presence in hospitality and hotel management, aiming to participate in the long-term growth of India's tourism and leisure industry as domestic tourism rises and travel spending increases. The hospitality vertical serves as an additional revenue stream and strengthens the diversified business model.
