PepsiCo's Tostitos is launching its first guacamole dip this fall, called Tostitos Chunky Guacamole: Mild, Hint of Lime Flavored Dip, marking the snack brand's debut in the refrigerated aisle. The dip features Hass avocados, no artificial colors or preservatives, and pairs with Tostitos or other tortilla chips.
The move targets one of the most beloved snack combinations in America. PepsiCo said 64% of consumers eat guacamole with tortilla chips. Avocado consumption has climbed in recent years, fueled by health trends and consumer interest in global flavors. The Mexican Hass Avocado Importers Association projected that U.S. avocado imports would reach a record 2.5 billion pounds for the 2025-2026 season, the highest volume in history.
Tostitos is undergoing a brand refresh to highlight its ingredients, and the refrigerated dip expands the portfolio beyond shelf-stable offerings. The company aims to bring new meal occasions to consumers, from quick snacking to at-home entertaining. This mirrors PepsiCo's earlier success: in 2022, the company rolled out Doritos-inspired dips for pizzas, wings and veggies.
