Three manufacturers are introducing new peanut-based products to capture consumer demand for protein-rich and convenient snacks. Seven Sundays is launching PB Puffs, a peanut butter protein cereal formulated with 10 grams of upcycled oat protein per serving, corn flour, and sweetened with dates and maple syrup. Ferrero North America is launching Nutella peanut, its first new Nutella flavor in six decades, which combines Nutella's creamy texture with roasted peanut taste. Noah Szporn, senior vice president of spreads at Ferrero North America, said the company "heard" from fans asking for the flavor for years. Once Again is adding high-protein squeeze packs to its nut butter portfolio, with each single-serve pack containing 8 grams of protein. The squeeze packs come in four varieties: organic peanut, organic chocolate peanut, organic sunflower, and natural almond. Sudheer Kosaraju, chief commercial officer at Once Again, noted that "portable, high-protein snacks continue to resonate in the natural foods category as consumers look for convenient, clean nutrition that fits seamlessly into their day."
