Chef Boyardee is rolling out a new line of skillet meals in five varieties: Beef Pasta, Cheeseburger Mac, Cheesy Italian Shells, Meat Lasagna and Chicken Alfredo. The meals target consumers seeking quick, affordable options that don't sacrifice taste, according to Dan Anglemyer, COO at Hometown Food.
"Families today are looking for meals that check every box — quick to make, affordable, and something everyone at the table will love," Anglemyer said in a statement. "Chef Boyardee Skillet Meals deliver exactly that, combining the brand's rich Italian heritage with the convenience modern households need."
The skillet meals are available at select retailers now, with nationwide expansion planned for summer. The launch marks what Hometown Food calls a "major milestone" for Chef Boyardee since Hometown's parent firm Brynwood Partners acquired the brand from Conagra Brands last year. When the deal closed, Brynwood Partners CEO Henk Hartong pledged to "reinvigorate" Chef Boyardee and bring it into new formats. Anglemyer signaled this is just the start, telling Food Dive consumers can expect to see Chef Boyardee "in several new places" in the store throughout 2026.
